Club Safeguarding Officers are vital members of the club and key to making an environment safe, welcoming and friendly for everyone to enjoy the game of cricket.
Club Safeguarding Officers need to complete the following training:
- Face to face ‘Safe Hands' workshop which is run by the local County Cricket Board
- Online ‘Safeguarding Level 2’ course
The online training is automatically provided once a Club Safeguarding Officer registers for the face to face 'Safe Hands' workshop.
These courses should be updated every 3 years.
A club safeguarding officer should also have an ECB DBS check in place for their role.
